Ready for Christmas? This one was a big hit! Don't miss out on Kaylen's story!

Christmas….. It should be a time of blessings, laughter, snow, and good cheer. A time for cherishing family and close friends. But, this year is different. This Christmas our home and my family only knows one thing, the big "C" - Cancer.

Cancer is definitely not what usually went along with all the holiday festivities my family participated in and in no way did it allow for any Christmas spirit to seep through. There were no Christmas carols being sung and you can bet your ass nobody was in the mood to celebrate.

I wasn’t expecting to have to say goodbye so soon, but we don’t always find what we want under the tree. How much loss can I endure? How many tears can I shed? Will my heart ever be whole again? All questions I cannot stop asking myself.

Through all the pain, I certainly wasn’t expecting to fall in love. Mostly, I hadn't anticipated feeling free to let go and move on with my life, in more ways than one.

I wasn’t expecting a Christmas miracle…but that’s just what I received.
